Welcome to tmcarthy.com, a collection of articles, blog posts and general musings by a journalist based in the south of Ireland. Coverage of national and international current affairs, health issues and entertainment are complimented by a unique and local perspective from what some Irish people like to call the "real" capital of Ireland - Cork (some citizens apparently disagree but they were unavailable for comment at this time).

I have recently added two new sections - Creative Writing and Poetry - as I attempt to spread my wings a little beyond journalism. All constructive criticism is welcome, and more content will be added in the coming weeks.
