Tom Mc Carthy is based in the south of Ireland. He received a BSc in Public Health & Health Promotion from University College Cork (UCC) in 2008 and is currently undertaking a Masters in Public Health. With an interest in journalism bordering on the obsessive, he is currently health editor with Motley Magazine, a UCC student-orientated publication, as well as continuing to pursue various freelance opportunities. To keep the bailiff from the door, he can also be found operating as both a student work placement co-ordinator and researcher in the Dept. of Epidemiology, UCC.
